˝LE MACIE˝ Farmhouse Organic extra virgin olive oil |

The farm "Le Macie" is a small organic farm which gained the ICEA (Istituto per la Certificazione Etica e Ambientale) in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the heart of the Chianti region, particularly appreciated for its wine and oil products.
The farm is situated at about 500 mt height, in a hill of galestro of which 2 hectares cultivated with olive grove in the varieties Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino. These plants produce few but very good fruits which transmit taste and flavour to the extracted extra virgin olive oil. The olives are picked by hand directly from the plant in 48 hours and they are cold-worked, in lack of oxygen, by the oil mill in Vertine (Gaiole in Chianti). This proceeding reduces remarkably the oxidation and guarantees long lasting and freshness to the oil which remains in this way characterized by a very low acidity, a spicy and gently bitter taste and a fruity spice with olive green wood and fresh grass smells.
Thanks to its characteristics it has gained 8 points at the Panel test in the Siena district.
The organic extra virgin olive oil "Le Macie" is available in bottles type "marasca", capacity 750 ml., made of dark green glass or in 5 lt. aluminium cans.
